So in a concentrated effort to Not Die if and when I get admitted to the Police Academy, I’m starting a new regime, one where I’m completely accountable on a public scale so I can guilt myself into getting fitter and healthier.
Last night I spent 3 hours online with a nutritionist friend sorting out a new diet and supplement plan, which basically boils down to:
- start eating a high protein breakfast. Or ‘for God’s sake Manda, at least drink a goddamn protein shake.’
- No carbs 6 days a week.
- One day a week, splurge like crazy and eat whatever the hell I want. ‘People fail, and you kinda suck. We’re scheduling a day so you can do your damage and not kill yourself because you can’t eat pasta.’
I’ve done no carbs before, back when I was a kid and my sugar levels were nudging diabetic. I’ve been told to get a DEXA scan, which will give me my baseline. I have to *sigh* weigh myself on a regular basis. But I’d like to get back to, at most, 75kg. That was fun, I had visible abs. So this is a thing that’s happening.
DEXA results tomorrow. Diet starts next week. Awesome.
